International Adoption Doctor Phone Consult

Bill and I had a really great phone conversation with a doctor from the International Adoption Clinic at the UW. What a blessing to talk with a doctor who has had a TON of experience with children adopted abroad. He really knew his stuff. It was a very reassuring conversation in many ways. The info we had gotten previously about Sage's special needs were right on with what he said. He did, however, raise one concern and that was her growth, and more specifically her head size. He said she is quite small (which we knew), but that her head was even smaller (didn't know). The odd thing is, when you look at her photos her head does not appear to be small. And, in her referral info, she seems to be doing quite well developmentally. We are praying that her measurements were off, or even that she just has a small head, but that there is no adverse cognitive affects. If you could keep her and her little head in your prayers, we would greatly appreciate it!

Sarah,
She is in my prayers for sure! I can't wait to meet her! I look at my sidebar on the blog everyday to see if you have any updates. How exciting to both be "expecting" again!!

Sage, and all of you, are in our prayers. How wonderful to have found a doctor who knows so much. That is very reassuring. Thanks for keeping all of us posted.
